I would like to understand why creating user Cory bishop and putting the user ine Domain Admins group doesn’t work.

I see the user in the Domain Admins OU. Check from the user properties if it shows it is a member of the Domains Admin group.

the user Cory Bishop is still member of Domain Users, even if/when I created the user in Domain Admins.

There is no reason why adding it as a member of the Domain Users should be impossible. Click the Add button, search for “Domain Admins” and from the list click and choose Domain Admins, then Apply and Ok.

I thought it should be enough to just create the user in Domain Admins for it to be member of the Domain Admins Group. I didn’t understand the membership should be added via properties.
