DHCP fail to distribue IP on WIFI

Hello, I’m having an issue with my DHCP server on Windows Server 2022. I’ve installed the DHCP role and created a range, and it works very well for distributing IP addresses on my network. However, my TP-LINK box, which acts as a relay for my DHCP, isn’t able to distribute addresses over Wi-Fi. I’ve seen that there might be some options to add to my DHCP, but I’m not quite sure which ones.

I’d like to know what type of options to use to make it work.

For now, I only have my scope and options for my distribution server.

Hi @goldzila91

Right, check with a cable on your TP-Link first to ensure that the DHCP relay feature is properly configured on your TP-LINK router.

Common DHCP options for relay agents include:
Option 82 (Agent Information Option): This option includes information about the DHCP relay agent, such as the agent’s IP address and the interface through which the DHCP request was received.
Option 60 (Vendor Class Identifier): Some DHCP relay agents use this option to identify themselves to the DHCP server.

Also, check that the DHCP relay settings on the router is correctly configured to forward DHCP requests back to the Windows Server and check that the necessary ports (UDP 67 and 68) are open for DHCP traffic in case you have a firewall.
