Where do we go and check if Window 10 client computer and Window Server 2016 fail to connect with each other?

We can do layered troubleshooting to see where the problem is. Maybe you can try the following:
Check the network adapter of the virtual machines to make sure are on the same Nat network.
Make sure the VM IP address are within the same Nat subnet.
Perform a ping from each machine to the other machine and see if it replies (may need to disable the firewall).
Windows 10 should have the DNS address of the Windows Server.
When trying to join the Windows 10 to the Windows Server domain if the network is ok you will see a pop-up to enter a user/password.
At this point is a credential issue and we need to see is the credentials are the issue.
