LAB: Securing Your Domain with Group Policy

Moin zusammen, Hello there

I am a litte bit stuck here…

GPO is created under “ServerAcademy.local” - “Password Lockout Policy”
Everything is setup…
“gpupdate /force” executed

Also tried to link GP directly with “Domain Computer”, and also to create it direct under the “Domain User” - fails

Configure a Domain Password and Account Lockout Policies with Group Policy fail

Deploy a Fine Grained Password Policy - also failed

Two another i resolved successfully - Deploying Fine Grained Password Policies (PSOs) and Configuring Registry Settings with Group Policy

Best Regards,

Mladen

In the first part, the lab asked for the password policy be done in the default domain policy is where you are running in to problems. I found that if I didn’t put it in right spot or named it just perfect sometimes the lab would not accept the answer. Best advice I can give is treat the labs as a way to test your knowledge and troubleshooting skills and not like a test from the system. I wish you luck and continued success.

That’s correct. As Ambroseg mentioned. The configuration needs to be on the Default Domain Policy GPO. The script is checking the MaxPasswordAge to be 60 and the LockoutDuration to be 15. The Firewall GPO can be tricky once configured. Perform a check to times and reboot the member server if needed.
