Preparing for Client Installation with GPO

Hello,
I go ahead to install Client on my SCCM server but despite it successfully been installed, the cmtrace runs an error message like this : Thread 2584 (0xA18).
As bellow, please find the screenShot:
Successfull Install but not installed yet
Preparing for installation with GPO
cmtrace

I saw at the bottom of the client detail, it said Reboot pending, I reboot the computer but nothing.

Needs help.

Thank you

Hello Andre,

Could you send me another pic with just the error. I can’t read the text. Did you have any luck pushing out the client to any of the other VM’s?
Thanks,
Robert

Hello Andre,
Unfortunately when I download the pics I still cannot read the error codes.
Things to check:
Did you follow lecture 45?
From lecture 45 at video time 6:53 be sure to input the correct site code server name and FSP which could be different depending upon your setup, for example SMSSITECODE=SA=yourserver name.

Disabled the firewall on the target VM right?
Did you open an admin command prompt on the target VM and type gpupdate /force.
After that reboot the VM
Has the C:\Windows\ccmsetup folder been created on the target VM?
Did you open task manager, processes and verify that the ccmsetup process was running?
Hope this helps,
Robert

Hello Instructor Robert,

I follow your instruction as bellow:

  1. In the place of ccmsetup: ccmsetup.exe /mp:dvdsccm01 SMSSITECODE=DV0 FSP=dvdsccm01
    Read as followed: ccmsetup.exe/mp:dvdsccm01 SMSSITECODE=DV0 FSP=dvdsccm01 (I ignore space between ccmsetup.exe and /mp:dvdsccm01)

  2. I configure Inbound/Outbound Firewall

Here is the result: Configuration Manager is successfully installed on my Windows 10 Workstation

Win10_ConfigurationMgr

Thank you Instructor Robert.

Have a nice Sunday

PS: Now, as it is installed, what should be the purpose or the use of Configuration Manager on Windows 10?

Hello Andre,
When the configuration manager client has been installed on the client computer you can manage these devices from the configuration manager console, and perform operations such as reporting hardware and software inventory information, installing software, and configuring settings required for compliance.

Thank you Instructor Robert,

Now I can understand why we do that as it was not said in the course.
