When I rename the server in the Lab i have to restart the server for it to take effect but in the lab if I restart the server it resets my lab, how do I get past this?

Is it your local lab? if so, it might have the Windows ISO maybe. Check and remove it from the VM since it might be booting to it after a restart.

Silly thing when I would restart it, I was hitting the spacebar when it said “hit any key to to boot from a cd…” and it would go back to installing the server from scratch.
So I stopped doing that and then it worked. I know not to do that but wasn’t thinking.
