Sections 5 and 6 seems a bit confusing

Microsoft SCCM/Endpoint Configuration Manager for Beginners

I’m currently in Section 5, lesson 38 and around the 4 minute mark. Where previously in the lessons/videos did you direct us to create a SQL Admin and SCCM Admin AD account?

Section 6, lesson 41 at the beginning you created the ITFLEE OU, then inside the SCCM OU; however this was done already in lesson 5. I’m confused and very distracted at this point. I learn best with organized content/learning material that is consistent and not all over the place. Starting to feel as if I should have not purchased this course as my learning is being side-tracked.

I posted this on the Q&A also:

I agree, 4 years or so later and this whole thing has derailed me and slowed my progress and understanding. Hi Paul, I’m currently in Section 5, lesson 38 and around the 4 minute mark, where previously in the lessons/videos did you direct us to create a SQL Admin and SCCM Admin AD account?

What is the best way to proceed? I would like to follow as direct as possible so that I see and show the same setup as you show during these lectures.

It’s tough enough to stay motivated in itself but to have these small differences only adds on to that.

I was really enjoying this course and believe I’ve spent more time in it than all of the other courses I’ve purchased, even some over 1 year ago.

I chose to create my own lab via VirtualBox which is all setup and looks to be running fine, it’s just the small discrepancies. Like in the beginning we were using the SERVERACADEMY.COM domain, then all of a sudden you switch over to using ITFLEE which really confused me.

Hi @jimmiew

The creation of the SQL Admin and SCCM Admin AD account are under video lesson Creating Domain User Accounts. If the ITFLEE OU, and the SCCM OU are already created then just skip these steps as they might have reappeared on the video somehow, maybe due to rebuilding the lab environment or a forgotten edit.

I see you were enjoying the course, and regardless of the issues I would like to encourage you to continue as these steps done in your lab environment are no different than real life, and the experience and understanding of SCCM in this course is valuable as an administrator.

As a learner myself I feel the same when I am left behind if the instructor goes fast, show configurations not explained, or explains as one understands it already. We are sorry if you feel that way. You can continue watching the video, maybe one or two more lessons to understand whats ahead and continue configuring your lab environment. When I did it at the beginning I watched the videos a couple of times to understand what was going on and the purpose of what we were doing. Then just got back on track as I understood I just needed to stop, analyze what we have done so far, and continue configuring and troubleshooting.

Please let me know how I can assist further.
