The last thing I need to do for this lab is create the subnet for NewYork, but it is not letting me create it. I used the IP address provided by the lab instructions to create it, but the Prefix Name won’t auto-populate and it isn’t giving me the OK option. (PS. I know that NewYork is not selected at the time of the image, but it didn’t change whenever I did select it.)
We have changed the prefix in the Lab instructions. It was not populated since it needs to be a network subnet and not an IP Address. Try entering 192.168.1.0/24.

In the future, is there any rule of thumb that I should know to configuring those subnets? Like: The fourth octet will typically be a “0”?
That’s correct. If the read-only textbox “Prefix name in Active Directory Domain Services” is not populated then the value entered most likely is incorrect, and like in this case, the fourth octet is a 0 because the subnet is /24
